The widowed father works in childcare, while Ippei sees housework and parenting as a way to demonstrate that he understands ordinary voters. Behind the apparently generous invitation lies a thoroughly self-serving plan.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eJun Shison plays a single father for the first time, making the kind-hearted Shosuke a pointed contrast to Katori’s protagonist. The cast also includes Ai Tominaga, Risa Masuda, Sojiro Chiba, Yuka Kouri, Reo Sano, Jun Hashimoto and Ken Yasuda. The original screenplay brings together Yosuke Masaike, recognised for Anime Supremacy! at the Japan Academy Film Prize; Naomi Hiruta, whose The Great Passage television adaptation received a Tokyo Drama Award in 2024; and Satoko Okazaki of Even If You Don’t Do It. Masaike, Hiruta and Okazaki write the family-drama strand, while Hiruta and Tetsuya Oishi handle the election story.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eMusic is by yuma Yamaguchi, and Katori performs the theme song “Circus Funk (feat. Chevon).” Taku Kitano produces with cooperating producer Hana Song.
