To change a society corroded by its class system, William James Moriarty and his brothers have become the Lord of Crime. Judging evil through evil and exposing the aristocracy's wrongdoing to the world, William himself becomes society's great villain as the Lord of Crime. He selects Sherlock Holmes, the detective who uncovers evil, as an indispensable part of his plan. William and Sherlock's first encounter is both accidental and fateful. Exchanging words in front of the spiral staircase of a luxury liner, they quickly recognize each other's exceptional abilities. William sets further cases before Sherlock to test his skill. Sherlock solves them easily, yet grows increasingly frustrated at being unable to identify the Lord of Crime behind them. Their next meeting is on a train travelling from York to London. The Moriarty group gains a new ally, Bond. Jack, who was also William and the others' mentor, then arrives. During the Afghan War he was feared under the name Jack the Ripper, but a series of murders of prostitutes is now being committed by someone using that name. William and his companions set out to uncover the truth.

Recorded performance The closing-day performance of August 1, 2021.
