In an ancient age when the worlds of humans and other beings were still undivided, seven warriors bearing names associated with sins formed the most fearsome and notorious order of knights in history: the Seven Deadly Sins. Led by Meliodas, the Dragon's Sin of Wrath, their actions brought the Holy War between the Demon Clan and the four races of humans, goddesses, fairies and giants to an end. Although Escanor, the Lion's Sin of Pride, lost his life, the Demon King was defeated and peace returned.

Afterward, the Sins followed their separate paths. Merlin, the Boar's Sin of Gluttony, accompanied King Arthur as he sought to create a new kingdom. Meliodas traveled with Princess Elizabeth to places filled with memories. The third Fairy King and the Giant Queen were finally joining together across the boundaries between their races. Watching the restless King, Ban, the Fox's Sin of Greed, and King's sister Elaine were exasperated at how much trouble their older brother caused. Gowther, the Goat's Sin of Lust, was also present at the ceremony, surrounded by blessings.

As Diane appeared in her wedding dress and the forest grew festive, a sinister rumbling began. An army of fairies and giants suddenly poured into what should have been a peaceful land, declaring that they would punish the Seven Deadly Sins and those who supported them for ruining the Holy War. Leading the enemy were Dahlia, the long-vanished second Fairy King, and Dubs, the master craftsman of the giants. What was the purpose of these invaders with their uncanny eyes?

Daily life is shattered by those who desire chaos, as a terrifying conspiracy threatens every race.
