Its early promise of thrills, speed and extraordinary technique became a distinctive musical language: Noro’s accessible melodies and dazzlingly technical playing coexist with apparent ease. Songs such as Asayake and Domino Line became enduring examples of that approach.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe first era ran from the band’s formation in 1977 through 1989, followed by a second era from 1990 to 2006. After a six-year break, the group returned in 2012, its thirty-fifth anniversary year, under the name CASIOPEA 3rd. The band maintained its reputation through successive changes of personnel. From 2022 through 2024, Yoshinori Imai took over the drums from Akira Jimbo as the fourth era began under the name CASIOPEA-P4.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eJun Abe joined in May 2025, ushering in the fifth era and the return to the original CASIOPEA spelling. The new line-up’s first NEW MEMBER’s GIG 2025 tour, at Billboard Live Osaka, Tokyo and Yokohama, attracted attention from professional musicians as well as music fans.
