Its influence has continued beyond Japan, including inspiring the American band's name The Linda Lindas.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe 4K digital restoration preserves the texture of the original 35 mm photography while bringing out finer detail. This release uses a 2K downconversion of that master for Blu-ray, rather than a UHD disc; occasional image irregularities originate in the original filming materials.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe 114-minute feature has Japanese Linear PCM stereo and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound, with no subtitles. Extras include the original making-of film, stage greetings held on the eve of the restored release, a commemorative talk event, a short film from the Korean publicity tour and the theatrical trailer.
