This encounter reveals a story that determined Koyomi's school life and might otherwise never have been told. It is a story of what Koyomi Araragi is made of, and a story of every beginning.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eKoyomi dies, cut apart by the oddity-slaying sword wielded by Izuko Gaen. Yet he wakes elsewhere and finds Mayoi Hachikuji, who should have passed on. When he expresses his confusion, she tells him, 'This place, Mr. Araragi, is hell.' Koyomi learns what his death means, bringing the story of his origins and every beginning to its conclusion.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIn Zoku Owarimonogatari, Koyomi Araragi's story has ended. Beginning with a hellish spring break and passing through many encounters, his final year of high school has apparently reached its end.
