Naked Tango returns in its first budget-priced Blu-ray release.

In 1924, aboard a luxury liner bound for Argentina, Stephanie struggles with the empty pretence of life alongside her much older, wealthy husband. Hoping to leave her past behind, she assumes the identity of Alba, a young woman who has thrown herself overboard. Poverty had sent Alba on a journey to marry a man she had never met. Taking her place, Stephanie is welcomed by Zico, her supposed husband.

That night, Zico tries to offer her to a jeweler as payment for a diamond. Resisting, she plunges a knife into the jeweler’s chest; Cholo, Zico’s close friend, delivers the final blow. He takes her to a shadowy tango bar, where her blonde hair is dyed black and she is forced into a new life as a dancer and prostitute. She no longer has the strength to escape.

Cholo teaches her the passion, sensuality and dangerous fascination of tango.
