People carrying Divine Tattoos, which contain the power of raging divine beasts, are known as Scard. Each tattoo grants its bearer a unique special ability and defensive power strong enough to neutralize every attack: bullets burst apart before reaching their bodies, and blades shatter. Using their tattoos, Helios protects the city, Artemis protects its organization and the Public Security Special Service protects order. These emerging forces establish themselves in Akatsuki. Even as small-scale conflicts continue daily, each upholds their own justice.
