Naho Karashima is a character designer at the game company Double Stars. She dreams of creating the characters for a hit game and keeps entering internal competitions, but success remains elusive. After another demanding critique from company president Shima Anno, she heads to the park with her homemade lunch, distracted enough to miss a step and spill coffee over Haru Amami.

Haru insists that the stained vintage T-shirt is worth 300,000 yen, an amount Naho cannot pay. Then her lunch catches his attention. After helping himself to a taste, he proposes thirty homemade lunches instead of compensation and leaves her with his bonsai as a token of their agreement. Reluctantly, she accepts. Their fifty-minute lunch breaks become a daily meeting between a practical, work-focused woman and an eccentric man whose closest friend is an AI.

Naho does not yet know that Haru is a leading creator at her company's bitter rival. With the two companies headed by former spouses, discovery of their relationship could cost them their jobs. Shared meals, increasingly personal secrets and a growing determination to make each lunch delicious draw the mismatched pair closer in this original romantic comedy.

Kei Inoo and Honoka Matsumoto star alongside Ryosuke Mikata, Manatsu Akimoto, Koki Kuroda, Oideyasu Oda, Mitsuomi Takahashi and Tae Kimura. Fox capture plan supplies the score, with Hey! Say! JUMP's Hanikami as the theme song and HY's Swing Swing Heart as an insert song. The three-disc set contains all eight episodes, behind-the-scenes making-of material, the production press conference, a pre-broadcast street event and After Story episodes 1 and 2. A booklet is included.
