Acro Trip Blu-ray Box Vol. 1 introduces Chizuko Date, a shy girl whose devotion to a magical heroine leads her in a decidedly villainous direction. Visiting her grandfather, Chizuko encounters Berry Blossom protecting the town and immediately becomes a fan. There is just one problem: Chroma, leader of the evil organization Fossa Magna, is so ineffectual that their battles barely give Berry a chance to show what she can do.

Wanting her favourite magical girl to shine, Chizuko starts wishing for a tougher opponent. Her enthusiasm eventually draws her towards the organization she should be cheering against, creating a magical-girl comedy in which admiration becomes a very unusual reason to embrace evil.

Adapted from Yone Sawata's manga, the series features Miku Ito as Chizuko, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Chroma, Inori Minase as Berry Blossom and Kengo Kawanishi as Mashirou. Minase also sings the opening theme, Fragum, while KanoeRana performs the ending song, Reversible Baby.

This first box contains episodes 1-6, approximately 142 minutes of main programme, across two Blu-rays. Extras include audio commentary, the pre-broadcast special featuring the four principal cast members, and creditless opening and ending sequences. The 16-page booklet provides episode coverage, an interview with Ito and Shimazaki, and opening and ending storyboards. Five original-art cards and two foil cards accompany the discs in a newly illustrated outer box with an illustrated inner jacket.

The episodes use Japanese Linear PCM 2.0 stereo, with Japanese DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 for the commentary track. The discs are region-free and do not include subtitles.
