Angela Aki resumes her Japanese musical activities with Angela Aki Sings In This Corner of the World, her first original album in twelve years. In 2014 she moved to the United States to study musical theater, taking a break from work in Japan after establishing songs such as Tegami - Haikei Jugo no Kimi e as widely sung graduation and choral favorites.
For this album, she rearranges and sings ten newly written pieces from the music she created for Toho's stage musical In This Corner of the World. Naoto Kaiho joins her on Samenai Yume and Kotoba ni Dekinai, bringing another voice to her interpretations of the story.
