Ao Haru Ride Complete Blu-ray BOX

Youth is close, yet a millimeter away. The hit Ao Haru Ride, with more than 13 million copies in circulation, receives a two-season adaptation. WOWOW's first full-scale youthful love story embraces everything about adolescence. Io Sakisaka's beloved manga becomes a continuous television drama for the first time, carefully bringing all 13 volumes' appeal to the screen through memorable dialogue, moving scenes and the beauty of WOWOW's production.

Futaba Yoshioka and Kou Tanaka were middle-school classmates. A rainy day brings them closer, and they promise to go to a festival together. But Kou never comes to the meeting place and transfers away without telling Futaba. Now in high school, Futaba pretends to be a rough, unladylike girl so her friends will not dislike her. As she worries about Yuri Makita, isolated from their class and reminding her of herself in middle school, a boy resembling Kou suddenly appears. Yet he is called Mabuchi. Love, friendship, companions and family fill a fresh, bittersweet story of adolescence.

Natsuki Deguchi and Kaito Sakurai share the lead roles, bringing together two of the most anticipated actors of their generation. Alongside a fresh supporting cast, they portray the uncertain, swaying emotions of youth. Sara Shida, Riko, Taisuke Niihara and SOL Miyazato of Enjin join them. Season 1 also features Mio Kudo, Keiko Horiuchi, Toru Nomaguchi, Satoshi Jimbo, Itsuji Itao, Keisuke Watanabe, Manami Higa, Ryosuke Sota and Daiki Kanechika of EXIT. Season 2 brings back Horiuchi, Nomaguchi, Itao, Higa, Sota and Kanechika, with Karin Fujiyoshi of Sakurazaka 46 as Yui Narumi. Masato Kimura directs, with Yusuke Matsuda directing Season 1 episodes 5 and 7. Sayaka Kuwamura writes the script, Masaru Yokoyama composes the music, and Misekai performs the insert song Aoi Haru.
