Arata Natsume's Marriage Blu-ray

Arata Natsume's Marriage Blu-ray turns a seemingly impossible proposal into a battle of wits between a child-welfare worker and a woman on death row. Yuya Yagira plays Arata, a former delinquent who agrees to help the family of a murder victim recover missing remains. His plan leads him to Shinju Shinagawa, the notorious serial killer known as the Shinagawa Clown, played by Yuina Kuroshima.

Arata offers marriage as a way to win Shinju's confidence, but their daily twenty-minute meetings quickly become a contest in which he cannot tell who is directing whom. When she insists that she has killed no one, the certainty behind his plan begins to unravel. What started as a calculated approach to a prisoner draws him into a search for the truth with consequences far beyond the visiting room.

Yukihiko Tsutsumi, director of the SPEC series and Twelve Suicidal Teens, adapts Taro Nogizaka's manga with a screenplay by Yuichi Tokunaga. Taishi Nakagawa, Rei Maruyama, Shiraku Tatekawa, Jiro Sato and Masachika Ichimura join the cast. The film's theme song is Olivia Rodrigo's Vampire.

This edition places the 120-minute feature and 81 minutes of supplementary footage on one Blu-ray. The extras include a making-of programme, recorded appearances, trailers and behind-the-scenes coverage of the Seoul visit and Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival. Three postcards are included in the package.

The region-free disc offers Japanese Linear PCM 2.0 stereo and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround. Japanese subtitles for deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers are provided for the main film, which is presented in 16:9 at 1080i.
