Arknights Animation

The hit game app Arknights finally becomes a television anime! The series began broadcasting on October 28, and Arknights: Prelude to Dawn arrives as a Blu-ray box.

The global edition of the full-scale tower-defence game surpassed ten million downloads as of February 2021, excluding the Chinese edition. Combining strategic tower defence with a rich story, the hit game is brought to animation. Its compelling characters, action scenes, world and ensemble drama are portrayed with care.

Yostar Pictures presents cinematic television animation. The rising studio creates an immersive experience with high-quality visuals and a presentation designed to draw viewers in like a film.

The edition includes a substantial special booklet. A digipack featuring a beautiful newly drawn illustration by character designer Aya Takafuji is housed in a special storage box.

Across Terra, unexplained natural catastrophes occur unpredictably in different regions. To escape them, most people have come to live in mobile cities developed over many years.

Originium, a substance containing immense energy that remains where catastrophes have struck, has helped civilisation advance dramatically. Yet it also causes an incurable illness: Oripathy.

The bodies of those infected gradually crystallise, and they become new sources of infection when they die. As a result, countries impose systems of isolation and forced labour, and the infected face persecution.

Oppressed infected people rise in rebellion, forming the Reunion Movement and provoking unprecedented large-scale unrest.

Rhodes Island, a pharmaceutical company researching a cure for Oripathy, takes up arms to save everyone from the disease and advances along the path it has chosen.

Bonus footage includes creditless opening and ending sequences.
