Ashigirl Stage & Musicals

Kozueko Morimoto's popular original comic Ashigirl becomes a reading play for the first time! Known for Gokusen, Deka Wanko and Kodaike no Hitobito, Morimoto tells a time-travel romantic comedy about Yui, a high-school girl whose only talent is running fast. She accidentally activates a time machine built by her younger brother Takeru and travels to the Sengoku period! There she falls in love with the beloved young lord Hagi Kuhachiro Tadakiyo and becomes a foot soldier, struggling to protect him. Each performance of the musical reading play, featuring a spectacular cast and a live band, comes to Blu-ray!

Yui Hayakawa is a lazy high-school girl with no interest in romance or fashion and a habit of arriving late, forgetting things and sleeping in class. One day, while drifting through life without any goal, she accidentally switches on the time machine her brother Takeru has built and arrives in the age of warring states...!

The main performance is joined by making-of footage and a collection of cast comments. Names and contents may change without notice. Sleeve-case packaging and a leaflet are included.

This edition records the August 6, 2023 evening performance at Toyosu PIT. The cast features Ayaka Konno, Takuya Kusakawa (Bullet Train), Shuichiro Umeda, Makoto Koichi and Ryumaru Tachibana.

The region-free Blu-ray contains approximately 120 minutes of main performance and 15 minutes of extras, with Japanese Linear PCM 2.0-channel stereo audio and no subtitles.
