ATRI: My Dear Moments Anime

An unforgettable summer woven by a boy and a girl is coming. ANIPLEX.EXE, Aniplex's visual-novel game brand launched in 2019, introduced ATRI: My Dear Moments as one of its first titles. Its moving story, depicted with a fresh, evocative touch, won praise around the world, surpassed 300,000 downloads and continued attracting users in Japan and overseas. In 2024, the story became a television anime.

Director Makoto Kato and screenwriter Jukki Hanada reunite after the emotionally rich Bloom Into You to portray a summer meeting between a lonely boy and a robot girl. Animation is by TROYCA, renowned for beautiful imagery. In a declining world colored entirely blue, their exchange of hearts weaves a moving story.

In the near future, an unexplained rise in sea level has submerged much of the earth's surface. Natsuki Ikaruga, who lost a leg in a childhood accident, abandons city life for a coastal country town. Without family to rely on, he inherits his ocean-geologist grandmother's boat, submersible and debts. Hoping to reclaim his lost future, he dives toward an underwater warehouse said to contain her legacy. There he discovers Atri, a mysterious girl asleep in a coffin-like device: a robot so sophisticated and emotional she could be mistaken for a human. Salvaged from the seabed, she wants to fulfill her master's final command and offers to be Natsuki's legs until then. In a peaceful town sinking into the sea, their unforgettable summer begins.

The special BOX gathers all 13 episodes, Log 01–13, across four Blu-rays, with Fuminori Matsumoto's original soundtrack on two CDs. A one-piece box features new artwork by original character designer Yusano, while the main-program and soundtrack digipacks are illustrated by character designer Michio Sato. ATRI Storyboard -Log 01- reproduces director Makoto Kato's complete first-episode storyboard. ATRI Animation Material -Memories- is a 72-page booklet of animation settings and related material. Video extras include the creditless opening and ending, promotional videos, commercials and web previews.

The cast features Kensho Ono as Natsuki Ikaruga, Hikaru Akao as Atri, Minami Takahashi as Minamo Kamishiro, Yoshimasa Hosoya as Ryuji Nojima, Yoko Hikasa as Catherine and Anzu Haruno as Ririka Nanami.
