Blonde (Kinpatsu) Deluxe Edition Blu-ray

Two events overturn junior-high teacher Ichikawa's life on the same day: dozens of his pupils arrive at school with their hair dyed blond, and his girlfriend raises the question of marriage. The students' protest spreads through the media and online, eventually drawing in the education ministry. Meanwhile, the girlfriend who has listened to his daily complaints gives him a blunt assessment of his own behavior. Caught between a public crisis and a personal reckoning, Ichikawa teams up with the student who organized the demonstration and puts a new plan into action.

Takanori Iwata plays a man who has long relied on pretending to know, pretending not to notice and pretending to be a responsible adult. With decisions about his work and future arriving together, he must confront the gap between his youthful self-image and the person others see. Tamaki Shiratori, Mugi Kadowaki, Maho Yamada, Kentaro Tamura and Chika Uchida join the cast of Yuichiro Sakashita's original comedy, which he wrote and directed. The film received the Audience Award at the 38th Tokyo International Film Festival.

The deluxe edition contains the 103-minute film on Blu-ray and a bonus DVD with making-of footage, stage appearances and trailers. The package includes a sleeve case and scene cards carrying Ichikawa's quotations. The feature has Japanese 5.1-channel audio, a Japanese accessibility audio guide and Japanese accessibility subtitles.
