Bocchi the Rock! Re: / Re:Re: Standard Edition Blu-ray brings Kessoku Band's beginnings together in two theatrical compilation films. Hitori Goto has practised guitar with dreams of joining a band, but by the time she reaches high school she still struggles to make a single friend. An unexpected approach from drummer Nijika Ijichi begins to pull her out of that isolated routine.

Alongside Nijika, bassist Ryo Yamada and guitarist Ikuyo Kita, Hitori has to learn how to share both a stage and everyday life with other people. Her extreme shyness collides with the personalities around her, giving the band's progress its mixture of awkward comedy, friendship and music. Adapted from Aki Hamazi's four-panel manga, the story found an audience through the 2022 television series before being re-edited for these 2024 theatrical releases.

Keiichiro Saito directs the CloverWorks production, with series composition and scripts by Erika Yoshida and character design by Kerorira. Yoshino Aoyama voices Hitori, Sayumi Suzushiro plays Nijika, Saku Mizuno plays Ryo and Ikumi Hasegawa plays Kita. Their performances carry the band's growth across Re: on the first disc and Re:Re: on the second, with a combined running time of 170 minutes.

Each film includes two commentary tracks. On Re:, Saito joins animation producer Shota Umehara and producer Mikihiro Takayama for the staff discussion, while the four principal voice actresses provide the cast track. Re:Re: adds Kerorira to the staff discussion and sound director Akiko Fujita to the cast discussion. These are the commentaries prepared for the theatrical screenings.

The standard edition contains the same two feature discs as the limited edition, without its additional physical items. Both region-free Blu-rays offer Japanese Linear PCM 2.0 stereo and 5.1 surround, a Japanese audio-description option and Japanese subtitles for deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers.
