Bullbuster Animation

Face the giant beasts—and reality! Bullbuster brings an economically grounded robot-hero project to television animation.

The project began selling concept books at COMITIA and Comic Market in 2017. A web novel followed on Kakuyomu in 2018, with a commercial edition published the same year. An audio drama arrived in 2022 as the project steadily gained recognition, before its television anime debut in October 2023.

Young engineer Tetsuro Okino is seconded to the pest-control company Namidome Industries, bringing Bullbuster, the new robot he developed himself. The company, led by president Tajima, is confronting mysterious creatures known as giant beasts. But Namidome is a tiny business that is perpetually short of money, and financial problems are never far away.

The robot’s fuel, the pilots’ wages—even a single wasted round of ammunition is unacceptable. Caught between the ideal of defeating the giant beasts and the reality of their costs, can Namidome Industries find a future?

The release includes promotional videos and commercials, together with the Gekiroku! Namidome Kogyo 24 Ji audio drama.
