Burning Kabaddi Anime

Welcome to a world on fire! Kabaddi is no joke: it is a passionate sport. Burning Kabaddi, the hottest sports manga of the moment, brings the exceptionally famous yet niche sport of kabaddi to anime.

Tatsuya Yoigoshi was a star soccer player known as the Unbeatable Yoigoshi, but he breaks off all ties with sports when he enters high school. Members of a sports club then arrive to recruit him. In their sport, teammates cooperate to capture opponents who invade their territory and drag them down to secure victory. It is, in other words, a running martial art. The name of this sport is kabaddi!

Volume 1 contains episodes 1-4. The Blu-ray comes in a three-sided slipcase with a newly illustrated anime jacket. A special booklet includes newly drawn four-panel comics and an interview with original creator Hajime Musashino. Audio commentaries feature Yuma Uchida and Gen Sato for episode 1, and Nobuhiko Okamoto and Makoto Furukawa for episode 4. A creditless opening is also included.

The voice cast features Yuma Uchida as Tatsuya Yoigoshi, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Masato Ojo, Gen Sato as Soma Azemichi, Makoto Furukawa as Kei Iura, Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Kyohei Misumi, Shunsuke Takeuchi as Shinji Date, Shinichiro Kamio as Kenshin Ban, Wataru Komada as Ryuta Seki, Ayumu Murase as Yuki Hitomi, Hiroki Yasumoto as Ayumu Rokugen, Kenichi Suzumura as Ren Takaya, Natsuki Hanae as Manabu Sakura and Soma Saito as Hiromoto Uto.
