C&K celebrate fifteen years since their debut with CK PEAS, their first new album in roughly a year. The singer-songwriter duo perform in styles ranging from simple DJ-backed sets to arena-scale entertainment, but their live-band performances have earned particular praise for revealing the full character of their music through the interaction between voices and musicians.
This album takes that approach into the studio, recording an entire work through vocal and band sessions for the first time. The musicians' exchanges bring the groove and inspiration of those sessions into sharp focus. Five newly recorded versions of earlier songs, including the ballad Mikan Heart, join nine new songs and Ao Ao Ao, the theme of The Toppa File's police segment, for a fifteen-track collection.
