Riku Sakahira and Manami Mizumura are fifteen when a fall into a swimming pool leaves them in one another's bodies. They keep the exchange secret, expecting it to reverse, but the days turn into years. Manami adapts to Riku's life while Riku struggles with the unfamiliar expectations of living as Manami. First love, graduation, work, marriage, childbirth and loss become experiences they face from someone else's place in the world. Fifteen years later, Manami says there may finally be a way back.
Kyoko Yoshine and Kaito Takahashi star in Yuichiro Sakashita's adaptation of the novel by Kanata Kimishima. The 123-minute film follows an extraordinary premise through the ordinary decisions that shape two intertwined lives.
This deluxe two-disc edition includes a specially designed slipcase, a photo booklet and a bonus Blu-ray. Supplementary material covers the making of the film, the Japan premiere, a pre-release event, opening-day appearances, a thank-you screening, a conversation looking back across fifteen years, a special interview and trailers.
