Chiikawa Animation

Join Chiikawa and friends in stories that are fun, a little bittersweet, and sometimes unexpectedly tough.

Created by illustrator Nagano, Chiikawa is a small and cute little creature. The manga began on Twitter in 2020, and its first collected volume appeared in 2021. Its adorable characters and surreal stories soon captivated readers. Collaborations with clothing brands and popular shonen manga helped spread its appeal, and Chiikawa won the Grand Prix at the Japan Character Awards 2022 before becoming a television anime that same year.

The ending theme Hitorigotsu also appears in the original comic and is sung by Hachiware.

Hardworking Chiikawa and friends such as Hachiware and Usagi bring their distinctive personalities to everyday adventures filled with joy, poignancy and a few hardships.
