Twelve Vocaloid producers draw lots to decide their creative partners on Chimera. Aqu3ra, Inabakumori, Kairiki Bear, Chinozo, Teniwoha, NayutalieN, Niru Kajitsu, Neru, Harumakigohan, PinocchioP, Hifumi and Takeaki Wada form pairs to write collaborative songs for this eight-track compilation.

Harumakigohan and Niru Kajitsu conceived the project after a relay arrangement of Dance Robot Dance by nine producers. Collaboration also shapes the cover, created jointly by illustrators Tera Terada, Nou and Ryusee. Alongside the lyrics, the booklet presents conversations between each producer pair.
