Clevatess Blu-ray Box

Prove it: show the worth of humankind. The high fantasy story Clevatess: The King of Magical Beasts, the Baby and the Corpse Hero becomes an anime. From the creator of King of Thorn and Dimension W, this first fantasy work has been serialized on LINE Manga since 2020.

Alicia, who has admired heroes since childhood, becomes one of thirteen heroes chosen by the king. Bearing legendary swords, the heroes set out to defeat the Beast King Clevatess. Their reckless courage instead brings about the worst possible crisis, threatening to destroy humankind across the entire continent of Edsea. The world's last remaining hope is a single infant entrusted to the Beast King.

Alicia is the daughter of Margo, a hero once given the title of Sword Saint. Clevatess, a gigantic black wolf-like being, is one of the four great Beast Kings and rules the southernmost lands of Edsea. Unable to walk among people in his enormous form, he takes the human guise of Clen, modelled after the page who entrusted him with Luna. This infant, who has a claim to the throne of Haiden, was placed in his care by the dying page when Clevatess attacked the capital, Hidrart.

The release includes an illustrated box, a booklet featuring an interview between Kiyotaka Taguchi and Takuro Tsukada alongside a newly drawn original comic, and the reference collection CLEVATESS MATERIALS. These special features offer material for anime and tokusatsu fans alike.

The complete director's-cut making-of feature for the live-action special-effects sequence in the first chapter expands on the footage released on YouTube. Other video extras include special conversations between Kiyotaka Taguchi and Mamoru Oshii, and between Kiyotaka Taguchi and Shinji Higuchi; creditless opening and ending sequences; promotional videos and commercials; and web previews.
