Crayon Shin-chan Anime

A dance contest sends Shin-chan and the Kasukabe Defense Force to India after Kasukabe forms a sister-city partnership with Mushibai in Hagashimir. The five friends work together to win the competition and earn a chance to perform abroad. Between sightseeing and the promise of delicious curry, the trip seems like an adventure they can all enjoy.

Then Shin-chan and Bo-chan visit a curious shop and buy a backpack shaped like a nose. A strip of paper protruding from it finds its way into Bo-chan's nose, releasing a sinister power that turns the usually placid boy into a tyrant. With their friend transformed into a threat powerful enough to shake the world, the others must find a way to stop him and bring him back.

Masakazu Hashimoto directs this animated adventure, with Saucy Dog performing the theme song "Spice." Yumiko Kobayashi returns as Shinnosuke, joined by Miki Narahashi, Toshiyuki Morikawa, Satomi Korogi, Mari Mashiba, Tamao Hayashi, Teiyu Ichiryusai and Chie Sato. Guest performers include Kento Kaku and comedy duo Viking's Eiji Kotoge and Mizuki Nishimura.

The disc contains the approximately 105-minute film and around ten minutes of supplementary footage. Extras comprise two teasers, two trailers, a special video, web and television spots, the creditless clay-animation opening and ending, a theme-song promotional video and a still-image production-design gallery. An eight-page booklet accompanies the disc. Japanese surround audio, Japanese audio description and Japanese accessibility subtitles are included.
