Dangerous Venus Blu-ray Box

Satoshi Tsumabuki returns to star in TBS's Sunday Theater after sixteen years, in a mystery based on Keigo Higashino's acclaimed novel. He joins the mysterious beauty played by Yuriko Yoshitaka to solve an enormous puzzle surrounding a three-billion-yen inheritance. Their first co-starring production brings a dangerous romantic suspense story to life.

One day, while Hakuro, played by Satoshi Tsumabuki, is seeing patients at his veterinary clinic as usual, a mysterious woman named Kaede, played by Yuriko Yoshitaka, suddenly appears and claims to be his younger brother's wife. She tells him that his brother Akito, played by Shota Sometani, has disappeared.

Kaede suspects that one of their relatives is involved. The relatives are the Yagami family, into which Hakuro's mother married after losing her husband. As a child from her earlier marriage, Hakuro always felt out of place in the family, and after his mother's death he became estranged from them. Akito, by contrast, is a blood relative of the Yagamis and has the right to inherit a fortune said to total three billion yen. With the current head of the family critically ill, Kaede believes that someone seeking the inheritance may have kidnapped him.

Although Hakuro had decided never to become involved with the Yagami family again, he cannot abandon a woman in trouble and goes with Kaede to the Yagami mansion. The family is assembled there, including its adopted son Yuma, played by Dean Fujioka, who has always looked down on Hakuro. As Hakuro and Kaede investigate, the family's troubling movements emerge one after another.

As they spend time together, Hakuro becomes increasingly attracted to Kaede's elusive, mysterious charm. Motomi Kageyama, played by Anne Nakamura, an assistant at the veterinary clinic, notices what is happening and warns him, but...

The box contains all ten episodes across three main Blu-rays, with the final episode presented in a director's cut. A fourth Blu-ray contains 137 minutes of bonus footage: making-of material, a collection of filming wrap-ups, the production announcement, Anzen na Venus and promotional spots. A booklet is enclosed.
