Daughter of Lupin Blu-ray Box
ドラマ ルパンの娘 Blu-ray BOX
The person a thief fell in love with was a police officer. Kyoko Fukada and Koji Seto star in a romantic comedy about the forbidden love between the daughter of a family of thieves and the son of a family of police officers.
This is the most unusual drama in the thirty-five-year history of Fuji Television's Thursday Theater, a very strange Romeo and Juliet. The original works are Dai Yokozeki's long-selling novel Daughter of Lupin, which exceeded 170,000 copies in print, and the second installment Return of Lupin, published by Kodansha Bunko. It is the first television adaptation of a Yokozeki work in about seven years, since the fifty-sixth Edogawa Rampo Prize-winning Reunion became a special drama broadcast by Fuji Television on December 8, 2012.
Fukada plays Hana Mikumo, daughter of the L family of thieves, whose initial comes from the great thief Lupin. Although she has more talent for stealing than anyone in her family, she refuses to inherit the family trade and works as a librarian to live an ordinary life. Seto plays Kazuma Sakuraba, a young man from a police family who is seriously dating Hana.
Hana is stiff with nerves when Kazuma introduces her to his family for the first time. His father Norikazu, played by Masayuki Shida, speaks sternly, and his mother Misako, played by Marcia, seems disappointed by Hana's job. Hana had only been told that Kazuma was a civil servant. She learns that the Sakurabas have been police officers for generations, then is horrified to discover that he belongs to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's Third Investigation Division.
Kazuma takes Hana home, and she enters an ordinary detached house. Once his car leaves, she slips out and goes to a high floor in a tower apartment building, the real Mikumo home. Her mother Etsuko, played by Maju Ozawa, holds an expensive cat; her father Takeru, played by Atsuro Watabe, drinks wine with caviar; and her grandmother Matsu, played by Donguri, prepares tiger pufferfish. But the cat, the caviar and the fish were all taken from other people. The Mikumos are thieves. Hana considers giving up on Kazuma.
Meanwhile, Norikazu tells Kazuma that he may allow the relationship if Kazuma becomes a detective in the First Investigation Division. Kazuma consults his senior detective Maki, played by Ryo Kato, who advises him to catch the L family, whose members have all been expert thieves for generations. They never leave a trail and never steal from the weak; their daring crimes resemble those of Arsene Lupin, which earned them the name L. Kazuma resolves to catch them, unaware that they are Hana's own family.
