Dead Dead Demons DeDeDeDe Destruction Collector's Edition Blu-ray

The invaders have arrived. The first anime adaptation of the manga creator behind Solanin and Goodnight Punpun brings a deeply relatable story into animation. Following the opening chapter of this vast story, the second chapter reveals Kadode and Oran’s secrets and the mystery behind the arrival of the mothership.

In the first chapter, Kadode Koyama and Oran Nakagawa, known as Ontan, lead energetic high-school lives in Tokyo. Busy with school and entrance-exam studies, they still enjoy playing online games together every night. Above their city floats a giant mothership that suddenly appeared from space on August 31 three years earlier, causing an unprecedented crisis.

One night, after the extraordinary has become part of everyday life, tragedy strikes a close classmate. The two are overwhelmed by shock and grief. Amid this turmoil, Oran meets a mysterious boy who asks who she is. In an instant, long-forgotten memories of her past with Kadode return.

In the second chapter, Kadode and Oran pass their entrance exams and begin attending the same university as Ai and Rin. They become friends with Futaba Takemoto and Makoto Tainuma and join an occult-research club led by their senior, Oji, as their campus lives begin.

Meanwhile, invaders from space are sighted throughout Tokyo, and the Self-Defence Forces continue their merciless extermination operations. Above the city, the mothership tilts and gives off smoke. An extremist group, Seikyoto, hunts invaders in secret while plotting to overthrow the government.

As the countdown towards the end of the world continues, Oran encounters the mysterious boy Oba once again. The edition also revisits the films’ release through screening events, stage greetings and trailers.
