Digimon Anime

Digimon Adventure and Digimon Adventure 02 return in an accessible Blu-ray Box containing all 104 television episodes and four theatrical films. The footage is digitally remastered in high definition. Relive the adventures of Taichi, Daisuke and the other DigiDestined, first depicted twenty years earlier.

August 1, 1999: seven children at summer camp suddenly find themselves on a mysterious island. Taichi, Sora, Yamato, Koshiro, Mimi, Joe and Takeru have arrived on File Island in another world, the Digital World. There they meet seven strange creatures, digital monsters known as Digimon, who say they have been waiting for Taichi and his friends.

When the vicious Kuwagamon attacks, the infant Digimon evolve to the Rookie stage and drive it away. Hoping to return to the real world, the children set off with their Digimon. Dangers await wherever they go, with battles against attacking Digimon and mysteries throughout the Digital World. With the fate of both worlds at stake, the DigiDestined and their Digimon begin a summer adventure.

The eighteen-disc box contains all fifty-four episodes of Digimon Adventure and all fifty episodes of Digimon Adventure 02. The four films are Digimon Adventure; Digimon Adventure: Our War Game!; Digimon Adventure 02: Digimon Hurricane Touchdown!! / Supreme Evolution!! The Golden Digimentals; and Digimon Adventure 02: Revenge of Diaboromon.

The set has a newly illustrated three-sided box, new picture-label discs and a special booklet re-edited from the booklets included with the two series' fifteenth-anniversary Blu-ray Boxes. The video extras are the same as in the earlier Blu-ray releases and include creditless openings and endings, end cards, promotional commercials, program previews, trailers and previews from the initial broadcasts. Disc seventeen includes a Japanese Dolby TrueHD simulated 5.1-channel track: the audio for Digimon Adventure and Our War Game! was partly converted to simulated 5.1 using surviving source recordings.
