Digimon Adventure Animation

Taichi Yagami, Agumon and the Chosen Children begin a new adventure. Returning around twenty years after the original series, Digimon Adventure reboots its world in 2020 with a new voice cast for the children, led by Yuko Sanpei as Taichi. Toei Animation, the studio behind Dragon Ball Super, combines the franchise’s sense of discovery with new evolutions and battle action. Its broadcast launch was accompanied by toys, trading cards, confectionery toys, figures and other merchandise.

In 2020, networks have become indispensable to everyday human life. What people do not know is that an infinite Digital World exists beyond those networks, inhabited by Digimon. A major network failure hits the Tokyo metropolitan area: traffic lights flash wildly, outdoor screens display garbled text and news reports describe a cyberattack.

Fifth-grader Taichi lives in a high-rise apartment near Tokyo. Left at home to prepare for the weekend’s summer camp, he learns that his mother and younger sister Hikari have boarded a train to Shibuya that can no longer stop. He rushes to help them—but just as he heads for the station platform, a mysterious event affects the Chosen Children and transports him to the Digital World. There the children meet their partner Digimon and face an adventure unlike anything they have known.

This box collects episodes twenty-five through thirty-six in newly illustrated packaging, with picture labels and a special booklet. The video supplement is the creditless ending Mind game.
