Drowning Sorrows in Raging Fire Animation

In a modern world where people possess special abilities, a mysterious man appears amid abnormal phenomena. Who is he?

The eagerly awaited Chinese bromance anime Drowning Sorrows in Raging Fire comes to Blu-ray in its Japanese-dubbed edition, bringing together an outstanding voice cast. At the time of the release announcement, it had surpassed 57 million views on the streaming platform bilibili and earned a rating of 9.8.

The original story is by the popular Chinese writer priest, known for the television dramas Guardian and Word of Honor and the novels Guardian, Can Ci Pin and Silent Reading. The author is also widely recognised among Japanese fans of Chinese boys’ love fiction. Drowning Sorrows in Raging Fire is one of priest’s signature works and was described in the release announcement as holding the all-time top position in the tipping ranking on the major Chinese fiction website Jinjiang Literature City.

This limited first-part edition includes an original outer case and a special booklet. Bonus footage includes next-episode previews, creditless versions of the Japanese opening and ending, a promotional video and television commercials.
