Even If You Don't Do It Blu-ray Box

Two couples seem happy from the outside, but feelings they have kept buried threaten to overturn the balance of their marriages. This adult relationship drama follows men and women in their thirties as they search for love and confront the loneliness of a marriage without intimacy.

Office worker Michi Yoshino is in her fifth year of marriage to Yoichi. They get along, but he no longer touches her, and their marriage has been sexless for two years. Michi struggles with her worries in private until, after drinking one day, she confides in her supervisor Makoto Niina. Apparently perfect in every respect, Makoto is married to Kaede, the deputy editor of a fashion magazine. Yet he, too, is troubled by his relationship with his wife.

The drama adapts Haru Haruno’s manga, which began in Manga Action in 2017 and drew attention for tackling the difficult-to-discuss issue of sexless relationships head-on. It topped Mecha Comic’s annual ranking in 2018; by the original Blu-ray release in November 2023, the manga had passed 9.9 million copies in combined print and digital circulation.

The series ranked first among the spring 2023 dramas for TVer favourites, with 1.432 million registrations as of June 22 that year. Viewers quietly following the story in their own time also fuelled lively discussion on social media. The production reunites the team behind the 2014 drama Hirugao after nine years, following four people whose increasingly tangled relationships test what it means to love someone.

Behind-the-scenes extras include the start and completion of filming, Takanori Iwata’s birthday celebration, poster and main-visual photography, the pre-broadcast talk event, an interview with Nao and Eita Nagayama, filming footage featuring Jumbo Takao, and promotional videos.
