Fena: Pirate Princess Animation

This completely original animated adventure brings together the eighteenth century, a princess, samurai and pirates.

The story begins with a girl's memories. In the eighteenth-century Atlantic, Fena Houtman is travelling by ship with her father when pirates attack. Adrift alone in a small boat, she manages to survive. She washes ashore on Shangri-La, an island of female and male prostitutes whose existence is tolerated by the state.

Ten years later, Fena has grown into a beautiful young woman with snow-white skin and shining silver hair. Her first “job” is approaching, but she cannot accept it. She resolves to escape the island, just as she has imagined so many times.

With her pursuers closing in, Fena finds herself in desperate danger. A young man named Yukimaru, wearing bright red armour and a helmet with stag's antlers, comes to her rescue. He is the boy who once promised that he would find her.

Their reunion awakens a word that has lain dormant within Fena: Eden. She remembers a ship sinking in flames, a boy promising, “I will find you, no matter what,” and the words shouted by her beloved father: “Head to Eden!” To discover what he meant, Fena sets out on a voyage with Yukimaru and his companions to unravel Eden's mystery.

This first part comes in a sleeve and tall case, with a newly illustrated storage box designed to hold both parts and a substantial specially made booklet.
