Ginga Nagareboshi Gin Complete Series Blu-ray

Yoshihiro Takahashi's hugely popular, enduring manga Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin comes to a Blu-ray containing all twenty-one episodes of its legendary anime adaptation on a single disc.

Serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump from 1983 to 1987, the manga became an immensely popular classic. Its moving saga is filled with Gin's growth and adventures and the burning spirits of the 'men' who gather for the great cause of defeating a killer bear. It won the boys' category of the thirty-second Shogakukan Manga Award.

Of the original manga's Akakabuto and Eight Warriors arcs, the television anime adapts the Akakabuto arc, following Gin from his birth to the fall of Akakabuto's stronghold. All twenty-one episodes are presented together on one Blu-ray.

In the bitter cold of Ou, the remarkable brindle puppy Gin is born as the son of Riki, the strongest bear-hunting dog. His grandfather and father have been defeated by the killer bear Akakabuto, who is building a fortress in the mountains of Ou. Gin joins the Ou army and sets his young blood ablaze with the resolve to defeat him.

Only three months remain before the final battle against their bitter enemy. Together with his companions, Gin travels throughout Japan to find true 'men' who can fight the battle against Akakabuto to the end.

The voice cast features Eiko Yamada as Gin, Banjo Ginga as Boss, Hideyuki Tanaka as Ben, Hideyuki Hori as John, Daisuke Gori as Moss, Michihiro Ikemizu as Akame, Kazuhiko Kishino as Musashi, Takeshi Aono as Benizakura, Takeshi Watabe as Gohei Takeda, Chika Sakamoto as Daisuke and Keiichi Noda as narrator.
