Girlfriend, Girlfriend — Volume 2

The much-discussed romantic comedy setting a new standard! The hugely popular original manga, serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine, had passed 900,000 copies across its first six published volumes when this release was announced. Its television anime began broadcasting in July 2021.

Lavish extras include booklets with newly drawn manga by original creator Hiroyuki! The first production of each Blu-ray and DVD volume was announced with newly illustrated anime packaging and a booklet containing a new manga by Hiroyuki. The series campaign also advertised the more-than-50-page prototype doujinshi A Story About Two-Timing Fair and Square with Volume 1. That prototype belongs to Volume 1 and is not an inclusion of this Volume 2. The series also announced cast audio commentaries and videos such as promotional videos and commercial collections across its volumes. The specific extras included in this volume are listed below.

Story Naoya, the protagonist, is a first-year high school student. After confessing to Saki, whom he has loved for a long time, he succeeds in becoming her boyfriend. He is at the height of happiness. But then a beautiful girl, Nagisa, approaches him. She suddenly confesses her feelings and asks him to go out with her. Moved by just how kind Nagisa is, Naoya makes a certain decision...! A romantic comedy setting a new standard begins with an unbelievable choice!

Included content Episodes 4 through 6 of the twelve-episode television series. Video extra: the main promotional video, approximately. Audio extra: episode 5 audio commentary with Azumi Waki and Ayana Taketatsu. The commentary language is not separately specified in the consulted sources.

Conditional first-production extras Special Digipak featuring a newly drawn anime illustration of Nagisa. Special booklet with newly drawn manga by original creator Hiroyuki. Special clear case. These were first-production inclusions. Their presence is not guaranteed by a new, unopened offer alone; CDJapan marks its first-press extras as no longer available.
