GO SEGA closes SEGA's sixtieth-anniversary project with 108 tracks on four CDs, supervised by veteran sound creator Hiro. The selection follows around forty years of music, from the 1979 arcade game Head On to the 2020 Game Gear Micro and Astro City Mini.
Twenty-six tracks make their commercial CD debut, including the company song Wakai Chikara by 135, music from Super Locomotive and Teddy Boy Blues, StarHorse, Mushiking and Game Gear Micro. Takenobu Mitsuyoshi's Soreyuke! Kokorojin -1993-, previously performed at an S.S.T.BAND concert but not issued on CD, is also included.
The chronological programme traces SEGA's musical history across arcade and home systems. A booklet styled as a company guide explores corporate history and identity, with anniversary comments from Hiro and Kensaku Nishimura and explanatory notes by Yosuke Okunari.
