Goban Giri Regular Edition Blu-ray
映画 碁盤斬り Blu-ray通常版
Witness the anger of a man caught in a false accusation! Even at the cost of severing the bond between father and daughter, a samurai has a pride he must protect. Tsuyoshi Kusanagi of Midnight Swan joins Kazuya Shiraishi of The Blood of Wolves and a distinguished cast in a moving revenge drama about vengeance staked on a warrior's honor.
The classic rakugo tale Yanagida Kakunoshin, a human story about the life of a proud warrior, becomes a film in which an upright hero uses Go as his weapon amid suspicion, conspiracy, love and emotion.
The ronin Kakunoshin Yanagida is accused of a crime he did not commit, loses his wife and is driven from his home in the Hikone domain. He and his daughter Kinu live in a poor Edo tenement. His honest character is reflected in the game of Go he has long enjoyed: he strives to play without deceit. One day, an old acquaintance from the domain tells Kakunoshin and Kinu the truth behind the tragic false accusation, and they decide on revenge. To carry out the vengeance, Kinu chooses a path of personal sacrifice. Father and daughter begin a struggle for their honor.
