GODZILLA TV Series

Enjoy the delightful stories of the three Godzilla brothers and their fellow monsters living on Goji-Goji Island. The monster puppet show popular on YouTube comes to Blu-ray for the first time, with original stories available here.

Packed with memorable footage, this edition features a huge battle reminiscent of Destroy All Monsters and the first live-action appearance of the elusive monster Bagan. It contains two newly filmed stories, a director's cut and a Christmas story.

In Earth's Greatest All-Monster Attack, the three Godzilla brothers and the island's monsters face Goji-Goji Island's greatest crisis. Their battle against arch-enemy King Ghidorah crosses time and space. More than ten monsters cooperate in a grand confrontation like the film Destroy All Monsters.

In Mothra vs. Bagan: Prologue, Bagan finally appears in live-action footage. The sky suddenly clouds over, and Bagan appears before the Shobijin Rune and Luna and before Lulubella. The opening chapter of Mothra and Bagan's fateful battle begins.

Minilla's Son is presented in a director's cut of the popular Minilla and Rodan story from YouTube, depicting their relationship as a makeshift family. The young Rodan looks up to Minilla like a mother, but the time for them to part eventually arrives.

In Merry-Goji: Godzilla Comes on Christmas Eve!, the Godzilla brothers and Grandpa Shogo descend as Santas on Christmas Day to search for Kamachi, who has wandered into the human world. Godzilla and his friends deliver gifts to monster-loving children around the world.

The approximately ninety-minute main program is joined by the Gojiban special program streamed at Godzilla Fest Online 2020 on November 3, 2020. This special footage was not subsequently streamed on YouTube and includes The Xiliens Dyed Crimson and Lullaby of the Sky.

A making-of documentary explores the secrets of Gojiban's production. How is a monster puppet show filmed, and how are its puppets created? Interviews with Hideyuki Kobayashi, who handles directing, writing, sculpting, editing and music, accompany rare behind-the-scenes footage. A still-image monster encyclopedia introduces the monsters of Goji-Goji Island through enjoyable pictures.

The enclosed sixty-four-page deluxe booklet, Gojiban Monster Puppet Show Encyclopedia, includes cute photographs of the island's monsters, interviews with the production staff and detailed information about the YouTube videos from seasons one through three.

The voice cast includes Yumiko Takahashi, Junko Kubota, Hideyuki Kobayashi, Runa and Megumi Kawano, among others. Product specifications and design may change without notice.
