Guiano The Sky gathers five years of growth into his third original album. Since A in 2021, his work as an artist and songwriter has broadened through songs for other performers and collaborations, experiences that deepen both the music and the ideas of this record.
Its central concept is ku, or emptiness: the Buddhist idea that things have no inherent meaning or fixed form, but simply exist. Guiano searches for the beauty between what seems meaningless and what does not, using music to capture the beauty of existence beyond the meanings attached to it.
The accompanying short-story collection, The Painter's Journey, develops the same theme. Words and sound resonate around the poetic question of drawing as a way of living. Fifteen songs include Nehan, Aizora, Mirror and Watashi wa Canvas featuring Shiho, expressing a philosophy reached over five years and a prayer for living in the present.
