Healer Girl Part 2 Blu-ray Box Limited Edition
TV ヒーラー・ガール Blu-ray BOX 下巻 特装限定版
I believe in the healing power of song. A musical healing animation following high-school girls finally opens. This is the second and final Blu-ray box, in the special limited edition.
With the fictional profession of healers who heal people through singing as its theme, this fresh musical animation follows endearing high-school girls.
Healing, the third branch of medicine, is vocal medicine that treats illness and injuries through song. People who carry out medical treatment by singing are called healers. Three trainee healers work at the Karasuma Vocal Treatment Clinic: Kana Fujii, an energetic mood-maker; Reimi Itsushiro, a slightly assertive young lady; and Hibiki Morishima, an easygoing but dependable older-sister figure. All three are in their first year of high school. After school they train at the Karasuma clinic, aiming to become fully qualified healers. Joined by Sonia Yanagi, who has returned from abroad and holds a Class C healer qualification, the girls sing healing songs again today as they work towards their dreams.
Six episodes, Songs 7–12, are included. Includes the solo-version CD Believe like Singing. and a 24-page full-colour guide to the work. Character designer Yukie Akiya newly illustrates the storage box and inner artwork. The CD title is confirmed by the manufacturer; Amazon's descriptive mention of Feel You, Heal You differs.
Video extras: Healing Program Extra, second half, featuring Healer Girls; the creditless opening for Songs 7–11; the creditless ending for Songs 7, 9 and 12; and Anison Days × Healer Girls Extra: Believe like Singing. Audio extras: cast commentaries for Songs 7–12 with Karin Isobe, Marina Horiuchi, Akane Kumada and Chihaya Yoshitake. This special limited edition may cease production without prior notice.
Song 7, A School Festival Full of Surprises: The Russian Cuisine Research Society is doing thriving business, and the school festival seems a great success. Then an unexpected problem arises: the guest band cannot attend the stage concert. At the organising committee chair's request, Kana and the others put on a band performance to fill the gap. Drawing on their strength as healers, they sweep away the oppressive atmosphere with a performance that excites the audience.
Song 8, I Love Maids / You're Fired: Visiting Reimi's home, Kana and Hibiki meet Aoi, who attends music college while working there as a maid. Seeing the two delighted by Aoi's cooking, Reimi declares that she will do the housework herself. Working in the garden and cleaning, she realises how hard it is and feels grateful to Aoi. Then she finds a certain airmail letter in Aoi's room…
Song 9, The Best Endorsement / Buy the CD: Kana and the others join a joint surgical operation to support Ria. The patient, hospital director Noda, was Ria's teacher and also Kana's doctor when she was small. Remembering their previous operation makes the three anxious, but they prepare carefully and the operation begins. With a single vocal cue from Ria, imagery fills the operating room. Kana and her friends support her through song and help bring the operation to success.
Song 10, Halloween / Masquerade / Butterfly: Having listened to Ria sing since childhood, Hibiki lacked confidence in her own singing and once considered giving up her dream of becoming a healer. Encouraged by her family, she decided to pursue that dream and kept moving forward under the influence of Kana, Reimi and the people around her. Determined to overcome her reserved nature, Hibiki takes the plunge and volunteers for the centre position in the Halloween song.
Song 11, A Training Camp with a Shark / Let's Climb Together!: With the Class C healer examination approaching, Kana and the others fall into a slump, and Ria orders a training camp. Aoi accompanies them as chaperone. Visits to an art museum and bungee jumping develop their powers of imagination. Through the camp, the girls openly confront their mutual jealousy and honest feelings, overcoming the slump that left them lacking confidence. At last, examination day arrives.
Song 12, the final episode, We Are Class C Healers!: Their training period as Class C healers begins. Reimi goes to the Honosaka clinic, Hibiki to Kansai Medical University Hospital, and Kana to a hospital in America. Away from Ria and in different places, the three work hard and encourage each other. On the journey home from America, they encounter a girl suffering a seizure on the plane. They begin to sing to help her.
