HIGH CARD Anime

Story Living freely on the streets, Finn learns that the orphanage to which he owes so much faces closure through financial difficulties. Hoping to make a fortune, he heads to a casino. There he finds a nightmarish commotion: gunfights and car chases revolving around a card held by a man with extraordinary luck. Finn soon discovers the existence of fifty-two X-Playing Cards, which grant chosen people powers beyond human understanding and can preserve the world's order or plunge it into chaos at will. He also discovers the power hidden in the companion he has treasured and kept close since childhood. The players of High Card appear to work for the long-established automobile manufacturer Pinochle. In truth, the King of Fourland has personally ordered them to retrieve cards scattered throughout the kingdom. Recruited as their fifth member, Finn undertakes dangerous missions with his stylish companions. "All you need are manners, refinement, and the resolve to risk your life. That is all." Their opponents are the notorious Klondike Family mafia and rival manufacturer Who's Who, which is obsessed with defeating Pinochle. Bearing ideals, desires and vengeance, the players captivated by the cards stake everything in a frenzied struggle that begins now! Are you ready? It's Showdown!!
