Himitsu: The Top Secret Blu-ray Box

An exceptionally poignant partnership at the heart of Himitsu: The Top Secret, now on Blu-ray.

These men pursue the truth behind unsolved cases while struggling with the conflict of looking into people's secrets in the name of justice. Untold truths and the pair's irreplaceable bond make this a deeply moving human suspense drama. Bonus footage offers plentiful behind-the-scenes and special-feature material, including off-camera moments, Akapen Takigawa's explanatory videos and surprise birthday celebrations.

The Ninth Forensic Laboratory at the National Research Institute of Police Science, known as Division Nine, is a fictional organisation. In cases of serious and violent crime where the victim or perpetrator has died, it uses a special MRI scanner to turn memories from the deceased person's lifetime into images. Because those images show what that person saw, they also reveal hallucinations, delusions and preconceptions.

Tsuyoshi Maki, whose striking appearance is matched by an extraordinary memory and sharp insight, is a founding member and head of Division Nine. After a case costs him his close friend and colleague Katsuhiro Suzuki, a rookie investigator named Ikko Aoki is assigned to his team. Aoki looks exactly like Suzuki.

Seeing even the feelings and secrets that the dead kept hidden until their final moments leaves the two men burdened by guilt and inner conflict. Yet they struggle to solve difficult cases and gradually become an irreplaceable investigative partnership.

The release includes interviews, making-of footage, a collection of previously unseen on-set mishaps and the production announcement press conference, together with an original booklet.
