Hiraba no Tsuki Deluxe Edition Blu-ray and DVD

After his divorce, Kensho Aoto returns to his hometown, takes a job at a printing company and settles into a quiet routine. Yoko Sudo, the girl he loved in middle school, has also come home after the death of her husband. Meeting again, they slowly fill in the years they spent apart and discover a renewed attraction.

One evening, Sudo watches the moon from her apartment. Asked what she was thinking about, she speaks of something almost like a dream. As the two grow closer, they begin to discuss a possible future together, bringing youthful first love into contact with the complicated realities of middle age.

Masato Sakai and Haruka Igawa lead Nobuhiro Doi's adaptation of Kasumi Asakura's novel, with a screenplay by Kosuke Mukai and the theme song Ikidomari by Gen Hoshino. The cast also features Manato Sakamoto, Kasumi Isshiki, Yuri Nakamura, Denden, Tamae Ando, Tsubaki Oniyakko, Shuntaro Yanagi, Yuki Kura, Michiko Kichise, Shohei Uno, Mutsuo Yoshioka, Daisuke Kuroda, Izumi Matsuoka, Tomoya Maeno, Ryo Narita, Sansei Shiomi and Nao Omori.

The deluxe set contains the 118-minute feature on Blu-ray and a separate DVD of supplementary footage, together with the film screenplay. Extras include making-of footage and interviews, a conversation between Masato Sakai, Haruka Igawa and Kasumi Asakura, and coverage of the production press conference, completion premiere, opening-day stage greeting and thank-you audience Q&A. Teasers, trailers, television spots and a special extended trailer round out the recorded material.
