Honnou Switch Blu-ray Box

Kaito Miyachika and Wakana Aoi star in Honnou Switch, a romance about childhood friends confronting feelings they have kept hidden since junior high school. Hijiri Akiyama and Koyori Hoshi have known each other for as long as they can remember. Now working as planners at different game companies in the same building, they have preserved the reassuring closeness of friendship while avoiding the possibility of love.

After her boyfriend and colleague Sosuke Yoshida ends their two-and-a-half-year relationship following his infidelity, Koyori drinks with Hijiri and wakes up beside him the next morning. Realizing that they have spent the night together, she apologizes in a panic and flees to work despite it being the weekend. Her colleague Yoko Kihara cannot distract her from the memory of Hijiri's school relationship with Kaede Saito: after their breakup, the two could no longer even look at one another. Afraid of losing her own closest companion, Koyori had chosen friendship as the safest place to remain. When she finally leaves the office, Hijiri is waiting in the elevator lobby.

Adapted from KUJIRA's manga published in Kodansha's comic tint, the series is written by Yoko Izumisawa and directed by Hiroto Takahashi and Hirokazu Fujisawa, with music by Akihiro Manabe and the theme song Say I do by Travis Japan. Alongside Miyachika and Aoi, the cast includes Junki Totsuka, Ken Kojima of Ae! group, Ren Ishikawa, Maki Kubota, Akiko Hinagata, Maho Nonami and Tomomi Maruyama. Totsuka plays Koyori's unfaithful ex, while Kojima and Nonami portray colleagues at her workplace.

The box contains all ten episodes across two main-program Blu-rays, totaling 232 minutes, plus a third Blu-ray with 109 minutes of bonus material. The supplements include the production announcement press conference, original making-of features and both parts of the spin-off drama Hatsukoi Switch. An original booklet is enclosed. The main episodes feature Japanese Linear PCM 2.0 stereo audio and Japanese subtitles.
