How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom Anime

Those with talent will be put to use. An innovative hero and exceptional companions gather here in How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom, now presented in a Blu-ray box!

After losing his grandfather, his only remaining family member, Kazuya Souma is suddenly summoned to another world as a hero. He arrives in the Kingdom of Elfrieden, a land resembling medieval Europe. Far from being a conventional hero, Souma is an ordinary young man, but his rational outlook and modern knowledge allow him to introduce new policies one after another and rebuild the finances and political system of the faltering kingdom.

At his side are Liscia, princess of Elfrieden; Aisha, the dark elf famed as the kingdom's greatest warrior; the keen-minded Hakuya; the big eater Poncho; the songstress Juna; and Tomoe, a girl who can communicate with animals. These talented and distinctive companions join him in an otherworldly fantasy of domestic reform, as modern knowledge revitalizes a kingdom in crisis. The story begins!

The two Blu-rays contain episodes 1 through 13, running 312 minutes. Video extras include opening and ending sequences without credits, a teaser, the main promotional video, broadcast promotional footage and package commercials. A special program filmed exclusively for this release features Yusuke Kobayashi, Inori Minase, Reina Ueda, Ikumi Hasegawa and Moeka Kahara, formerly known as Moeka Kishimoto.

The bonus CD contains an original soundtrack and insert-song collection. Alongside 22 original soundtrack tracks, it includes Give a reason from episode three, performed by Juna Doma, voiced by Reina Ueda; Minatomachi no Komoriuta from episode nine, also performed by Juna Doma; and Watari-dori from episode twelve, again performed by Juna Doma. The episode-twelve selections also include Genya no Kaze, performed by Pamille Carol, voiced by Miho Okasaki, and Gorudoa no Tani o Koete, performed by Margarita Wonder, voiced by Mariko Higashiuchi.

A 36-page booklet includes an interview with Yusuke Kobayashi and Inori Minase, among other material. The set uses tall cases in an outer box, with jacket artwork newly illustrated by character designer Mai Otsuka.
