Kimi no Tame ni Ikiteru gathers the vocal songs from the anime, live-action drama and film versions of If My Favorite Pop Idol Made It to the Budokan, I Would Die. The two-CD collection celebrates the music of ChamJam and the other idol groups at the heart of the story.

Disc one presents the anime recordings, from the self-introduction song Zutto ChamJam to opening theme Clover Wish and Eripiyo's cover of Aya Matsuura's Momoiro Kataomoi. It also introduces a newly recorded full-length Gyutto HUG Me by MELTY and Aster Wish, conceived as Reo's graduation song.

Disc two features the drama and film cast's performances of Zutto ChamJam and Fall in Love, together with Watashitachi ga Budokan ni Ittara, the anime song performed for the first time in the film. The specially prepared booklet contains liner notes for every song by the music producer who worked on both adaptations, explaining their concepts and stories behind the recordings.
