If My Wife Becomes an Elementary School Student Vol. 6 Blu-ray

The acclaimed story of a family finding its way back to life comes to animation. The original manga has surpassed three million copies in circulation.

The wife who died ten years ago has come home, carrying a school backpack.

Keisuke Niijima has remained lost in grief since the death of his beloved wife ten years earlier. One day, an elementary school girl named Marika Shiraishi appears and tells him that she is his late wife, Takae. With his wife now appearing in the form of a schoolgirl, their lives begin moving forward again.

Previously adapted as a live-action television drama broadcast by TBS in 2022, the story returned as a television anime in 2024, surrounding its audience once more with love.

Keisuke tells Mai that he is going to marry Moriya. Confused by his announcement, Mai struggles to accept his explanation: Takae has not been reincarnated but is temporarily possessing Marika, and they must give the girl her body back. Unable to take it in, Mai runs away. That night, she talks with Takae in the park.

Mai and Takae visit the place Keisuke has asked them to meet. It turns out to be the park where he first ate the lunch Takae had made for him. Filled with memories, Takae rides the Ferris wheel with Mai. Sensing that their farewell is approaching, she thanks her daughter. Then she witnesses Keisuke’s decision.

A newly illustrated jacket and special booklet accompany the release. Audio commentaries and a special discussion offer further insight into the anime.
