Ignite: Outlaws of the Law Blu-ray Box
TV ドラマ イグナイト -法の無法者- Blu-ray BOX
Lawyers who infiltrate the sparks of a dispute, ignite lawsuits and earn huge sums: TBS and BABEL LABEL's first collaboration presents dark legal entertainment.
Ignite means to set a fire. These outlaws of the law light a fire in the hearts of potential plaintiffs, persuade them to sue and use every available means to win in court. Like collision scammers wearing lawyers' badges, are they seeking money or justice? After losing his father in an accident, Ryo Uzaki enters the legal profession and joins a suspicious firm known in the industry for its lawless methods.
This wholly original legal drama explores Japan's increasingly litigious society and its overcrowded legal profession. It combines full-scale action with a story that overturns conventional assumptions about the relationship between clients and lawyers. The production marked BABEL LABEL's first terrestrial prime-time drama. Its theme song, Osoruru Nakare Hai wa Hai ni, was written especially for the series and marked B'z's return to a TBS serial drama theme after eight years.
After his father's accidental death, Ryo Uzaki quits his office job and manages to pass the bar examination, despite finishing near the bottom. His determination earns him his qualification, but he struggles to find a position at a law firm. His mother Junko introduces him to Kenjiro Todoroki, head of Peace Law Office and a customer of her boxed-lunch shop. At last Uzaki can begin working as a lawyer. Yet this unusual firm believes that, to survive in a saturated profession, disputes should simply be created.
His first case concerns a worker who fell into a silo at Yamagami Industries three years earlier. Todoroki approaches the dead worker's wife, Misaki Saito, with Uzaki and fellow Peace Law Office lawyers Mari Inoo and Toma Takaido. Uzaki's careless remarks instead turn her against them. Discovering suspicious aspects of the accident, Uzaki independently visits Yamagami Industries to question its president about what happened, only to encounter the company's legal adviser, Takuma Kiriishi.
Special features include the complete individual and group interviews, Making of Episode 1, a tour of the Peace Law Office set, a collection of filming wrap-ups and promotional spots. A booklet is also included.
