Ikusaburo Yamazaki 19BOX -STARMAN- blends songs that defined their eras with original music looking toward the future. Combining his name's numerical wordplay, 1936, with a jukebox, 19BOX imagines a musical box holding his life, experiences and music like jewels. Each opening releases another song and story.
Ten tracks tell how a man named STARMAN comes into being. Covers include Tegami -Haikei Juugo no Kimi e-, Donna Toki mo, Denen, Ienai yo and Katte ni Shiyagare. Yamazaki writes the original songs' lyrics, with composer, arranger and music director Mako Kuwabara contributing arrangements. Takanawa Survivor draws on his childhood in his home neighbourhood of Takanawa, with music supplied by Taiiku Okazaki, whose friendship with Yamazaki began through a television drama appearance.
